The FDA sets a standard for potable drinking water that materials incorporated into the hose must meet. Another common standard is that the materials must be EN No 10/2011 compliant for food contact applications. Similar to this, food safe water hoses must also be NSF51 + NSF61 approved for the transfer of drinking water.
